The Health Puzzle is designed to sit alongside the wider healthcare community, including conventional medicine, private healthcare, and other complementary practitioners. We are not here to replace any of these. Our content focuses on the everyday lifestyle factors that support long-term health, such as nutrition, sleep, movement, stress and the environments we live in, and is written by qualified practitioners who understand where lifestyle medicine ends and clinical medicine begins.
We actively encourage readers to work with their GP, specialist or other healthcare professional on diagnosis, treatment and any significant changes to their care. Our editorial position is that natural health and conventional medicine are most effective when they work together, with each playing the role it does best.
For healthcare professionals, this means The Health Puzzle can be a useful resource to point patients toward when lifestyle support is part of their broader care plan, without competing with the clinical guidance you provide.
Yes. The Health Puzzle is a resource we have built to be recommendable by healthcare professionals. Every article, review and piece of educational content is researched, written and reviewed to be useful and recommendable to both complementary and conventional healthcare professionals. Our content is designed to support patients in understanding the lifestyle factors that affect their health, alongside the clinical care they receive from you, and to support healthcare professionals looking to help their patients in this area.
Some of the resources healthcare professionals find most useful include:
Articles: in-depth, practitioner-led pieces that you can use to refresh your own understanding of a topic before sharing recommendations with patients.
Online courses: structured introductions to the foundations of nutrition and lifestyle medicine, suitable both for healthcare professionals looking to refresh their knowledge and as a direct recommendation for patients who want to learn the basics.
Product recommendations directory: trusted product recommendations to help patients switch to a healthier, cleaner lifestyle, saving them the hours of searching and the risk of greenwashing.
Recommended deals: exclusive and shared discount codes from the brands we feature, useful for patients managing the cost of food, personal care and healthy living essentials.
Safety Checker: plain-English ratings for everyday ingredients and materials, useful both as a personal reference and as a resource to share when patients ask whether something is worth avoiding.
Recipes directory: a mix of in-house and handpicked recipes from trusted sources, chosen by nutritional therapists with ease and efficiency in mind, ideal to point patients to when nutritional changes are part of their care plan.
Services directory: trusted UK-based organisations such as The Migraine Trust and Mind, useful when signposting patients to additional support beyond your own practice.
If there is anything specific you would like to share with patients or anything you would like to know more about before recommending The Health Puzzle, please email info@thehealthpuzzle.co.uk and we will be happy to help.
Yes. The Health Puzzle practitioner directory welcomes a wide range of healthcare professionals, including private GPs, holistic dentists, osteopaths, talking therapists, and others whose practice supports natural health and lifestyle medicine alongside conventional care.
Every practitioner listed must hold a recognised qualification from an externally regulated awarding body. For most practice types, this means Level 6 or above.
For full details on eligibility, fees and how to apply, please see our practitioner directory section of this FAQ.
Yes, we welcome submissions from healthcare professionals and specialists who would like to write for The Health Puzzle on topics relevant to their expertise. Whether you are a nutritional therapist, holistic dentist, osteopath, talking therapist or working in another field, we are open to a broad range of topics that fit within our editorial values and ten lifestyle medicine pillars.
Articles are best pitched before writing, so we can confirm the topic is a good fit and avoid any wasted effort on either side. Submissions are reviewed by our editorial team and, if accepted, are edited and SEO-optimised before being published under your name and credentials. We are unable to pay for guest articles, but our writers benefit from reach across our website, newsletter, communities and social channels.
We accept a limited number of healthcare professional articles each year with directory practitioners prioritised. If we cannot publish your article in the short term, we may add you to a waiting list and come back to you when capacity allows.
To pitch an article idea, please email info@thehealthpuzzle.co.uk with a short summary of the topic, your professional background, and any links to previous writing or publications.
