About Me
Welcome to Paula Jones Nutrition. I believe every individual has their own unique dietary and nutritional requirements. I work to identify underlying factors contributing to health compromise, rather than simply working with the symptoms and guess work.
My working career began as a professional dancer, dance teacher and later a Pilates instructor. In my early twenties, I experienced an unexpected decline in health, experiencing multiple chronic symptoms of no obvious cause. In seeking to manage my own health, I developed an interest in nutrition.
My motivation to learn led to my studying at the prestigious UK College of Nutrition and Health (BCNH), where I graduated with distinction. Since my qualification, I am proud to have worked in independent practice, running my nutritional therapy consultation company. In addition, I have been a proud member of the BCNH clinical tutor team, supporting the learning of BSc honours students in clinical practice. Whilst also working as the Clinic Director at Good Health Nutrition (GHN), the specialist nutritional therapy teaching clinic in association with BCNH. Once a team member of IBS Clinics, I specialised in gastric health, in particular the root cause of IBS & SIBO, chronic intestinal distress and overall wellbeing.
About Paula Jones Nutrition
I focus on realistic, achievable diet and lifestyle changes. Recognising that each individual has their very own unique dietary and nutritional requirements, whilst focusing on pinpointing underlying factors rather than simply working with symptom presentation.
Consultations
All consultations are 1 hour, 90 minute or 2 hours, dependant on individual needs.
How many visits?
Consultation attendance is dependent on a variety of key factors such as reasons for visit, patient compliance and duration/complication of health concerns. I recommend budgeting for a minimum of 3 consultations.
Supplements?
I create bespoke supplement programmes based on individual needs. A supplement programme will be suggested if beneficial to the individual. In most cases, when health is chronically compromised, supplements can be an important intervention to return to wellness.
Functional Laboratory Tests?
Functional tests can be an extremely effective tool in determining elusive factors involved in health compromise. All test considerations are discussed thoroughly during consultation.
