About Me

At Paula Jones Nutrition, I apply the principles of Functional Medicine to move beyond symptom management.

I believe every individual possesses a unique biochemical blueprint; my mission is to identify the systemic drivers of ill health rather than simply addressing the outward presentation of symptoms.

My journey into clinical nutrition began due to my own health compromise. As a former dancer and Pilates instructor, I faced a sudden, chronic health decline in my twenties with no clear medical explanation. This led to years of hospital appointments and ongoing health challenges. I began exploring nutrition to help myself, as it was evident that conventional medicine had no answers.

In 2008, I graduated with Distinction from the UK College of Nutrition and Health (BCNH) and have since dedicated my career to clinical excellence. My experience is rooted in high-level practice and academia:

- Former Clinic Director at Good Health Nutrition (GHN)
- Clinical Tutor at BCNH, supervising BSc Honours students in their clinical practice.
- Nuffield Health, on-site Nutritional Therapist
- Specialist practitioner at IBS Clinics.
- Clinical Education Specialist at Regenerus Labs

Having specialised in gut health, I now lead my own practice focusing on the root causes of gut dysregulation, IBS, IBD, SIBO, histamine intolerance, yeast/fungal overgrowth, and reflux (this list is not exhaustive), integrated with hormone health.

I bridge the gap between digestive relief and total body wellbeing, with a particular interest in how gut dysfunction intersects with hormonal health and complex systemic complications.

I don’t just address your gut, I don't just focus on your hormones; I work with you and all your uniqueness.

I recognise that every individual has unique nutritional requirements dependent on symptoms and diagnosis. My approach focuses on pinpointing underlying root causes rather than simply managing symptoms. Together, we find the 'why' to facilitate your recovery.

Your Consultations

Consultations are available in 60, 90, or 120-minute blocks, ensuring we have ample time to address your requirements without compromise.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions depends on your goals, the complexity of your health concerns, and your level of engagement with the protocol. I generally recommend budgeting for a minimum of three consultations to allow for meaningful progress and sustainable change.

Supplements

I may recommend a bespoke supplement programme if it’s clear it will benefit your recovery. For those with chronic health challenges, supplements are often a vital bridge back to wellness.

Functional Diagnostic Testing

Testing is an extremely effective tool for identifying the "why" behind your health concerns. If I believe testing is necessary, we will discuss the options and benefits in detail during your initial consultation.
