The Health Puzzle is The UK's Trusted Natural Health Resource. We share nutrition and lifestyle medicine education, honest product reviews and recommendations, a directory of qualified UK practitioners, online courses, and practical tools including our Safety Checker and Dictionary. Every article, review and recommendation comes from qualified practitioners and specialists.
We are built on a simple belief: that health is a puzzle. There is no single solution, no shortcut and no one-size-fits-all answer. We are here to help you build your own health puzzle, piece by piece, with qualified guidance you can trust.

The Health Puzzle was founded by Josie Shillabeer, a qualified nutritional therapist trained at the College of Naturopathic Medicine and a member of the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners. Josie also holds a first class degree from Keele University and is supported by the King's Trust Enterprise Programme. She leads a core team of nutritional therapists, writers and a practitioner outreach manager, alongside a growing roster of guest writers from across the natural health field.

Lifestyle medicine uses everyday habits and behaviours, such as what you eat, how you sleep, how you move, your relationships, and the environments you live in, to support long-term health and help prevent illness. It works alongside conventional medicine rather than replacing it and is increasingly recognised as an important approach to improving health outcomes.
At The Health Puzzle, our content is organised around ten lifestyle medicine pillars, which we call the puzzle pieces.
The puzzle pieces are the ten lifestyle medicine pillars our content is built around. They are nutrition, sleep, movement and exercise, clean living, rest and relaxation, rejuvenation, play, community, purpose, and health support. Together they form a complete picture of natural health. Each person's puzzle is unique, and we share the pieces so you can choose the ones that fit your life.
To explore each pillar in more detail, visit the puzzle pieces page.
Yes. The Health Puzzle is a UK-based natural health resource. Our team is based in the UK, our practitioner directory features qualified UK practitioners, and our product recommendations are chosen with UK readers in mind, including ingredient sourcing, availability and pricing.
Our audience is primarily UK-based, with a growing international readership across the USA, Europe, Australia and Asia. Readers from outside the UK are very welcome and much of our educational content and many of our recommendations apply equally wherever you are. Please note that our website, products and services are intended for individuals residing in the United Kingdom, and international readers are welcome to enjoy our content at their own discretion. Our full Terms and Conditions apply.
No. The Health Puzzle is an educational resource and directory rather than a clinic, and no member of our team works 1:1 with clients through THP. If you are looking for personalised support, our practitioner directory features qualified UK practitioners across a wide range of specialisms, from nutritional therapists to homeopaths and beyond.

The Health Puzzle is built on the belief that good natural health information should be qualified, honest, and easy to use. Every article, review and recommendation is written or curated by qualified practitioners and specialists, our content is organised around ten lifestyle medicine pillars rather than nutrition alone, and we only recommend what we genuinely believe in. Our aim is to create the go-to natural health resource that individuals and healthcare practitioners can use and recommend, in the confidence that the information is trustworthy, effective and safe.
