Why we recommend AirDoctor
The air purifier market is full of filters described as “HEPA-type” or “HEPA-style”, housings that let air slip around the filter rather than through it, and apps and Wi-Fi sold as features. AirDoctor is the brand we recommend because it avoids all three, and because we’ve lived with one in our home since 2021.
AirDoctor is made by Ideal Living, which also makes AquaTru, the reverse osmosis water filter we recommend. In the UK and Europe, it was sold as AmazingAir until 2026.
UltraHEPA filtration at 0.003 microns. A hundred times finer than standard HEPA. That extra reach lets it capture the ultrafine particles a standard filter struggles with: fine mould fragments, the particulate that carries mycotoxins, many viruses, nanoplastics, and the fine combustion particles from cooking, traffic, and wood smoke.
A fully sealed system. Air can’t bypass the filters through gaps in the housing, which is a real problem with cheaper purifiers.
Independent third-party testing. Performance is verified against viruses, bacteria, and ultrafine particulates, with the results published for buyers to check directly.
Practical engineering, not gimmicks. No app, no Wi-Fi, no data collection. A simple, durable device built to do one job well.

Is AmazingAir the same as AirDoctor?
Yes. In 2026 AmazingAir, the UK and European brand, changed its name to AirDoctor to match the brand's US name. If you own an AmazingAir 2000 or 3500, its replacement filters are now sold under the AirDoctor name: look for your model number.
Is the AirDoctor discount genuine?
Yes. It’s an official partner arrangement between AirDoctor and The Health Puzzle. We’ve used the AirDoctor 3500 daily since 2021, and it won Gold for Air purification in the THP Awards 2027.
Does the discount work in the UK, Europe, and the USA?
