The Balade en Provence solid face cleanser gently cleanses and hydrates the skin, leaving your face fresh, healthy, and radiant. Enriched with French green clay to draw out impurities and remove makeup, rosehip oil for deep nourishment, and soothing aloe vera, it’s the perfect daily cleanser for morning and night.

I have been looking for a plastic free face wash for many years. The previous face wash/cleansing bars that I have tried have all been very oil stripping leaving me with dry skin and spots. I was a little reluctant to try another one but was drawn to the Balade en Provence Solid Face Cleanser after taking a look at the ingredient list and seeing a long list of lovely nourishing oils.
I have been so suprised and pleased at how amazing this face cleansing bar is that I have decided to take a morning out of my working day to write this review; I just have to tell everyone all about it!
The bar came in simple, fuss free, plastic free packaging. It was a good price and something about it being french just made it feel a little fancy.
I ran some warm water over my face first before rubbing the bar in my hands for a few seconds to transfer some of the soap onto them. I found that it was super quick to get the perfect amount of soap onto my hands, unlike some bars where you have to rub them for a really long time to get enough off.
Once on my face it spread around really easily, felt a little creamy and the smell was not too strong. The strongest scent that you get from the bar is shea butter but even this is not overpowering.
I then used a flannel with warm water to gently remove the cleanser and dirt off my face. It left my face feeling clean but not stripped of moisture. I then spray my face with rose water and put on my favourite rose moisturiser.
After a few days of using this face cleasing bar I noticed reduced redness and irritation, less spots and balanced face oils. I therefore highly recommend this solid face cleansing bar!
