Winning a Health Puzzle Award is a meaningful distinction. It tells consumers, practitioners, and the wider health community that a product has been held to the highest standards of health, quality, ethics, and clean living, and found to be the best in its category.

Gold: The Health Puzzle Gold Award is given to our top recommendation in each category. Selected by the team, this is the product that stands out from the crowd, excelling across health credentials, quality, performance, clean living standards, and overall value. In a field of strong competitors, the Gold winner is simply the best we have found.

Silver: The Health Puzzle Silver Award is a mark of genuine excellence. Our Silver winner is an outstanding product that has impressed the team across our assessment criteria and stands among the very best in its category.
 

Bronze: The Health Puzzle Bronze Award recognises a product of real quality and merit. Our Bronze winner has been assessed against our full criteria and stands among the finest in its category.

Where relevant, special mentions may be awarded within a category for products that deserve recognition outside the three main tiers.

How are award winners selected?

Award winners are selected by our team from the products listed within our product recommendations directory that have been tested and reviewed in-house. Each product is assessed against our criteria, and a Bronze, Silver, and Gold winner is selected from each of our award categories.

What products are listed within our product recommendations directory?

Products listed within our product recommendations directory are the products our team uses themselves and recommends to others. Some products have been purchased by team members with their own money, and others have been gifted by brands The Health Puzzle has a partnership with. Every product is listed because we genuinely recommend and would use it ourselves.

What criteria will each product be assessed against?

Every product is assessed against a range of criteria relevant to its category. Our core considerations include health credentials, ingredient transparency, non-toxic credentials, quality, performance, clean living standards, value for money, ease of use, maintenance requirements, UK availability, company ethics, and customer service.

 

How often are the awards updated?

The Health Puzzle Awards are announced each November and are valid through to 31st December of the following year. Award winners are reviewed annually, but if a standout new product is added to our product recommendations directory between award cycles it may receive a special mention.

What if a product does not live up to its award?

THP reserves the right to withdraw an award at any time if a product is found to fall short of our standards. Grounds for withdrawal include discovery of elevated levels of toxic heavy metals or other harmful substances, illegal company practices, changes to packaging that conflict with our clean living standards, failure of third-party testing, or any other finding that materially affects the product’s alignment with THP’s values. In such cases the brand will be contacted directly and asked to remove all associations with the award immediately.

How do I report a product that does not meet the standard?

We take reader feedback seriously and want to hear from you if you feel an award-winning product does not live up to its award. Please contact us at awards@thehealthpuzzle.co.uk with the product name, your experience, and any supporting information. Your feedback helps us maintain the integrity of The Health Puzzle Awards.

Are The Health Puzzle Awards independent?

Yes. Every award is made on editorial merit alone. While The Health Puzzle has affiliate relationships with a number of brands, these relationships do not influence our assessments or award decisions. We review far more products than we ever recommend, and we only choose to work with brands we genuinely stand behind. A product without an affiliate relationship is equally eligible for an award, and a product with one will only win if it genuinely deserves to. Our commitment is to being The UK’s Trusted Natural Health Resource, and we would never compromise that by allowing commercial relationships to override our editorial judgement.

How do I submit a product for consideration?

If you are a brand and would like to submit a product for consideration for The Health Puzzle Awards, please contact us at awards@thehealthpuzzle.co.uk. Tell us about your brand, your team, your product, and why you believe it should be listed in our directory and considered for an award.

Can I submit more than one product?

Yes, you are welcome to submit more than one product for consideration. Please include details for each product in your submission email to awards@thehealthpuzzle.co.uk.

Is there a submission fee?

There is no submission fee for The Health Puzzle Awards 2027. While submitting is free, your product must be listed within our product recommendations directory and tested in-house before it can be considered. We only accept and review products that meet our strict criteria. To find out more please email awards@thehealthpuzzle.co.uk.

 

When should I submit my product by?

Products can be submitted for consideration on a rolling basis throughout the year. For most products the submission deadline is 1st August, giving our team sufficient time to assess and review before winners are notified in mid-September and announced on 1st November. Some products require a longer testing period, such as water purifiers and air purifiers, and we encourage brands with these types of products to submit as early as possible. If you are planning to submit a product after 1st July please contact us at awards@thehealthpuzzle.co.uk to discuss whether there is sufficient time for a full assessment.

What happens if my product wins?

Award winners are notified in mid-September, ahead of the public announcement on 1st November. This gives brands six weeks to prepare before the announcement goes live. Winners must not publish or share the announcement publicly before 1st November, and all press releases and marketing materials referencing the award must be approved by The Health Puzzle before publication.

Once announced, winners will receive a digital badge to use across their website, marketing materials, packaging, and social media. Winners will also be featured on The Health Puzzle Awards page, referenced in relevant articles across the site, and placed at the top of their category within the product recommendations directory with their award badge displayed prominently.

What if I disagree with the assessment of my product?

All award decisions are made at The Health Puzzle’s editorial discretion by our qualified team, based on our published assessment criteria. Every product is assessed fairly and consistently against the same criteria, and our decisions are final. If you have a specific question about the assessment of your product please contact us at awards@thehealthpuzzle.co.uk and we will be happy to discuss it with you.
