Try this easy healthy and yet incredibly delicious hot chocolate recipe created by nutritional therapist Josie Shillabeer. Can be made in a hot chocolate maker, on the hob or microwave.

Ingredients
250ml Almond or cashew milk
1 tsp Cacoa powder
1/3 tsp Honey, maple syrup or dark brown sugar
1 level tsp Dark chocolate drops
Pinch Chaga mushroom powder

Method
I personally put all of my ingredients in the order they are shown in my Velvitiser and let the magic happen. If you are looking for a nonstick alternative, you can find one here. If you don’t have one of these, then continue reading.
Place all but the milk into your mug of choice.
Heat the milk in a pan over the stove or in the microwave (in a separate mug). Stop when the milk is starting to get hot but not boiling.
Pour 1/4 of the lukewarm milk into your mug and mix until you get a thick chocolate paste.
Continue heating the remaining milk until it is just below boiling.
Pour the remaining milk into your mug and give it a good stir. I like to use my handheld milk frother to get a really lovely consistency.
Notes
Substitute the nut milk for cows milk, soya or oat milk
You can add 1 tsp of coconut cream to make it super creamy
Batch make this in a slow cooker and treat your guests
